Go Green! Awareness Training

ACE developed and delivered an environmental awareness training course to the Emergency Preparedness and Response Division of the CDPHE. The training was designed to emphasize the impact that an individual can have both at home and the workplace on reducing energy consumption, water consumption, and waste generation.  The training included awareness about impacts of human activities on the environment, goals of the Colorado Climate Action Plan, efforts of the Governor's Energy Office (GEO), rebates and savings incentives (federal, state and local), and steps that individuals can immediately implement at work and home to become more green and reduce their environmental footprint while saving money. The training also included a greening scorecard exercise for each attendee to score themselves on their current green activities and identify "low-hanging fruit" or easy and efficient green actions to implement upon leaving the training course.
